The Knockout Stages are go, Go, GO!

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE
Thank you for taking part in Footcall 2012, we really hope you have enjoyed it so far no matter how your predictions have gone.
That is only the first half of the tournament completed, now you have the chance to consolidate your position if you are flying high at the top of the table or maybe you can score some valuable points and streak up the league into contention as we enter the make or break part of the competition, the Knockout Stages.
When you login, you will find a new link called MAKE KO PREDICTIONS where you will be presented with a table of the remaining teams left in the competition. Simply click on each team you think will progress to the next match until you have completed every game. You will be asked to confirm your predictions or start over if you would like to have another go. We do not require the scores for these matches, just the winners unless, of course, you are going for the Vuvuzela* award (see note below).
You will be emailed a confirmation of your predictions, although this won't happen immediately as my friend, colleague and Footcall website coder, Spencer Collins along with his wife Dominique, are celebrating the birth of their new born baby girl who wasn't due until three weeks from now but decided to arrive somewhat early. This has meant some of the site functionality will be up and running later in the week and I'd like to take this opportunity to wish Spencer, Domi and their little girl our warmest congratulations. I wonder if they might call her middle name, Footcall?
Please make the time to complete this stage as I would like to remind everyone that in 2008, Alex Stoater correctly predicted every winner in the Knockout Stages and leapfrogged loads of players to collect the top prize. Don't forget the winner stands to collect 320 quid for their efforts at the end of Euro 2012 and it could well be you!
The deadline for the Knockout Stages entry is 1pm on Thursday (yes, this Thursday) so you only have 36 hours to get them done, don't blame me, blame UEFA! Failure to complete the KO Stages form on time will mean you won't score any further points in Footcall 2012 and you MUST complete this stage to be able to qualify for the Vuvuzela* award. If you have any problems with your entry then please get in touch via the Contact page on the website.
Good luck everyone!
David
* You might think you have little hope of catching the leaders and so you may want to focus on the other end of the league. Last place picks up the infamous Vuvuzela award (and a nice confectionary accompaniment) for coming bottom of the heap. Simon Jenner claimed this prize in 2010 and seems to be a specialist in this field as there is again at this half way stage. You'll have to choose all the teams you think will LOSE their matches in Euro 2012... and then keep your fingers crossed!
